How To Face The Future With Confidence
God is the source that we should put our trust in. He will never fail us. People may disappoint you, but God never will. That doesn’t mean that He will do everything when you want, the way you want, or how you want. But it does mean that He is always there with you. He will be by your side every step of the way.
We wish we didn’t have to face the storms of life, but as the bible says, “In this world you will have tribulation”. The story doesn’t end there though. He goes on to say, “But be of good cheer because I have overcome the world”! The world is full of evil and many times we have to “weather the storms” that life blows our way.
It would be great if the earth was a place that we could live and always be happy. Get everything we wanted and never have to deal with any difficult circumstances, or people. There would be no sickness. No death. No pain. And no sorrow.
We do know that there is a place like that! Unlike the earth, it is a place that will last forever. It is an eternal dwelling place. As much as we don’t like the trials of life, we must realize that they are going to come to us all. It’s just part of living in a world that is full of sin, sickness, disease and death.
Get your mind focused on the eternal things. Heaven. The new Jerusalem. Having a glorified body. No hospitals. No funeral homes. No temptations. No trials. Only a place of perfect peace filled with perfect people. Remember, what you are going through right now will not last forever. Even if it continues as long as you are on earth, it will end as soon as you get into the presence of Jesus!
Don’t let anything, or anyone, cause you to lose focus. There is hope for your situation. God still answers prayer. He has not left you or forsaken you. He will either deliver you from the storm…… or ride it out next to you, until you safely reach the other side.
